Mary Jo pieced the back too!  Great way to use up your scraps.  I learned this technique from Chris Hoover too and it's almost a reversable quilt.

Off the longarm today . . .

It's been a long time since I've posted.  I've been quilting a bit here and there so I will be blogging about my new projects in the next few weeks.

I want to thank Mary Jo W. for allowing me to custom quilt her "Tis The Season" BOM quilt.   Mary Jo's is actually half-size and really cute!

The BOM pattern is by Chris Hoover of Whirligig Designs.   Here is the link to her website:  http://whirligigdesigns.com/.    Wonderful patterns by the way!   Be sure to take a look at Chris' Eldorado Canyon pattern, one of her newest.  I custom quilted this pattern for Mary S. as a memory quilt.  I will blog about that one later.

I made a quilt just like 'Tis the Season' but mine is full-size and a different color scheme.  I will post my quilt when I finish it.  Hmmm . . . I hope that will be this year!

I have lots more photos that I will upload when I get a chance.

Cuddly Child's Pillowcase

I've been working on a cute pillowcase for a daughter of a friend of mine. She is my "adopted" grandchild. Hehe!

If you've never made a pillowcase TRY IT! They are fun, fast and ADDICTING!

Take a peek at the YouTube video by Missouri Star Quilt Company. I have attached a link here.

Better late than never . . .

I wanted to show this fall thread-painted quilt before we got too much in the Christmas spirit!  The center is a panel from Stephanie Brandenburg called Daydreams II.  The pattern is from  Mountain Peak Creations called Flight North.

I thread-painted the center panel and quilted a separate design in each of the colored flying geese.

Off the Longarm today

Okay - I'm nervous! This is my first post and I don't know what I'm doing, so we will see how it goes.

I just took this quilt off the longarm today. Mary S. entrusted me to longarm this quilt in memory of her father who died when she was young. He was a Boy Scout leader and also took his family to the lake to canoe. I really felt her father helped me with the designs, especially the blue block, where I quilted the Boy Scout insignia free hand. I think it turned out well.

Thanks Mary for letting me quilt such a special quilt! I hope you like it.
